We often encounter the question, why is Basketball the national sport in the Philippines? Well, i can't blame them. We, Filipinos have an average height of 5'7". Which means, we're short. But, why basketball? Easy. We have the heart, the determination to win and the warrior in us. That "Bida" attitude in us. We always want to be the underdog. It's challenging but, the fun is unexplainable. The sense of fulfillment after defeating or even have a close match with a powerhouse team is beyond happiness and satisfaction.

Philippines is labelled as the most entertaining team in Asia. Our unending tenacity and perseverance to win is respected by top athletes all over the world. WE NEVER BACK DOWN.

Basketball - A Tool for Christ

H ave you noticed that every before and after games, players huddle up and form a circle while holding their hands up high with heads down? Their praying. Asking God for guidance and safety. Why? Faith. Faith is what drives them throughout the game. As the term goes, "Salig Lang," which means Trust in the Lord and just leave it to him. T here are players in different places who set up pick up games for other players and in turn, make it a tool to spread the holy word. They are such good examples for all of us. I went to these sessions and indeed it enlightened me, as we felt the presence of the Lord around us. I could see that the players are finding their way to the Lord. Basketball and Autism - Ross Gomez

W e all have our struggles in life. However, there is one person who caught the attention of many people. His perseverance and determination to fight his disability (Autism) has truly been an inspiration to all the kids or adults who suffer from the same.
